Validate.
A validator tests what miners can establish. Outside validation is limited today because scoring truth is private.
Today the testnet miners are run by Provenonce and outside miners are not enrolled. You can run the public miner kit locally. Outside participation on the testnet is planned in three stages: local, then shadow (run without carrying weight), then weighted. Each stage will have published criteria. None is published yet, and there is no date.
What you can do today
- Read the validator quickstart: what a validator dispatches, how it gates integrity, how the one scorer works under a committed profile, and how a weight row is formed.
- Run the public verifier. It re-reads the chain and compares every attested weight-set with what the chain recorded. You need no wallet, key or account. See the attestation notes for what it proves.
- Run the repository tests and the weights dry run. The dry run quantizes a row and never broadcasts.
- A complete validator cannot be run from the public repository. Scoring truth runs on a private reference executor, so the verifier reports scoring as UNVERIFIED instead of claiming a pass it cannot prove.
What opens next
- Checking scores on the public cases outside Provenonce.
On what condition
- This needs scoring truth that can be published for public cases without exposing hidden instances. That design question is open.
- No date is set. Nothing on this route sets weights.
Where to send what you find
- Setup failures, scoring questions and other technical problems: open an issue in the public repository.
- Other questions: ask in the group linked on the Participate page. We collect questions every Wednesday and post answers on the FAQ every Friday.
