SN87 is live on Bittensor testnet, and the code is now open source.

AI agents are starting to do real work inside real organisations. A run can succeed and still be wrong. Proof of Assurance is an open Bittensor market where independent methods examine permitted evidence of autonomous work, and validators test what those methods can establish.

The run succeeded. Was it right?

What is live today:
🔹 Live on testnet. The SN87 validator has been setting weights on Bittensor testnet subnet 582 since First Light on 28 September 2026.
🔹 Open code. The miner kit, protocol, schemas and scorer are available under the MIT License.
🔹 A proof anyone can check. The public verifier reads the chain and confirms every attested weight-set. No wallet, no key, no account.
🔹 The SN87 Reading Room keeps every earlier version of the SN87 site.

Honest status: testnet, not mainnet. Provenonce operates the miners today, and the examples are illustrative.

1/ AI agents are doing real work now. A run can succeed and still be wrong. SN87, Proof of Assurance, is a Bittensor subnet built around that gap. It is live on testnet today. 🧵

2/ Independent methods examine permitted evidence of a run and return an Assurance Differential. Validators test what those methods can establish. The work owner decides what happens next.
